What is MyPCBackup?
As mentioned above, MyPCBackup is an application that can be purchased. It ultimately runs whilst the computer is online to save files or history and store it in the cloud. The applications run in the background where files of up to 1GB are saved consistently, meaning that users do not have to manually save their files and always remember to do so, as they are saved automatically. On the other hand, files consisting of over 1GB must be saved manually; however, a handful of large files is easier to remember to save than all documents.
Because the backup is saved to the cloud, there are several advantages. Firstly, files can be accessed from any device, whether a company computer, home laptop or mobile, as long as they are connected to the internet. As a result, opening or editing documents is made more accessible because it does not have to be done from the original device; the files are synced to all. Once they are modified on one device, the change is made to all, giving peace of mind to users that files are updated and saved automatically.
MyPCBackup Plans
MyPCBackup consists of three residential and two business plans, with varying levels of storage and price. The fees can be paid monthly, half-yearly, yearly, or two-yearly, and are cheaper when a more extended contract is chosen; if you wish to cancel your subscription, you must do so two weeks before your contract is terminated, which is when the subscription automatically renews. The Business plan is an essential commercial package, priced from £30 per month.
Whilst both commercial plans allow an unlimited number of accounts and users on the plan, this plan is only available for a total of five computers. If you wish to add more, for example, because you have more employees, each different computer costs £4.15 per month. There is 100 GB of storage space available altogether, which should be sufficient for all documents, photos, videos and emails. However, there is the option to add between 500GB and 5,000GB extra should this not be sufficient.
The Enterprise plan is the more advanced commercial package of the two business plans, priced from £60.25 each month. Like the plan above, unlimited users are allowed; however, a maximum of 20 computers can be installed, with the option to pay extra for more computers. The storage space available is 500GB altogether, but more purchased if necessary.
