Fusion
Fusion is a company based across Canada and the United States, providing communications products and services to their business customers. Through the use of the cloud, a platform where data can be stored or accessed using the internet, and VoIP, a system that uses broadband instead of landlines to perform voice calls, products are offered to help businesses collaborate and work efficiently. Their solutions are easy to manage, cheap and there is customer support in place for any queries their clients may have.

Services Offered By Fusion
Phones
Fusion offers a range of phones that companies can benefit from, grouped by their functions. For example, office workers are encouraged to use phones with a handset connected to the display with a cord, with multiple lines so that many calls can be taken at once when employees hold calls, transfer them or talk to more than one person. In contrast, cordless phones with long battery life are aimed at mobile workers in large businesses and benefit from moving from their office to other offices without being limited to one spot. Lastly, there are conference phones designed with clear audio and sound in mind so that multiple people can be heard when conducting a call.
Hosted Voice
For £11 per month, Fusion offers a Hosted Voice phone service that uses VoIP. A handy feature of this service is audio conferencing, whereby users can call a central phone number and be connected, which is helpful for team calls and voicemail transcription to save time and read voicemails left on your line. Other advanced features include hunt groups so that a call is distributed to all selected phones, thereby increasing the likelihood of it being picked, as well as call queues so that callers are informed where they stand in the queue and how long it will take for an employee to be with them.
If your office phone is compatible (you will need an analogue telephone adaptor), you can benefit from Fusion’s faxing features, allowing for documents to be sent from one device to another through the internet.
Unified Communications
UCaaS, Unified Communications as a Platform, is a way for employees to communicate in one system, which combines the Hosted Voice service, web conferencing, screen sharing tools and text messages. Fusion offers UCaaS integrated with Microsoft Teams at £11 per month and UCaaS integrated with Webex at £13.25 per month. The latter is more expensive because it provides cheap rates for international calling and therefore aimed at larger businesses. Microsoft Teams and Webex are both platforms designed to make voice calls, video calls and instant messaging between colleagues faster and easier by combining all features on one platform.
They both use VoIP advanced features like receptionist, voicemails and calling options, in addition to screen sharing, storing information in the cloud, and being compatible with several different phone brands. Furthermore, they both include Microsoft 365.
SIP Trunks
A SIP trunk allows you to take incoming phone calls and make outgoing calls over the internet instead of a landline. Fusion allows you to choose how many SIP trunks you want to purchase, which should be dependent on the maximum number of simultaneous phone calls your business takes. There are three plans on offer based on the requirements of each business, although they all contain a contact list and a business phone number.
The ‘Local and Long Distance’ package includes unlimited calling in most states and Canada and an option of advanced features, whilst the ‘Long Distance’ package includes unlimited local calls. Lastly, the ‘Metered’ package is aimed at larger businesses with an influx of calls higher than average, with lower rates reflecting the high demand.
Microsoft 365
Fusion provides the Microsoft 365 package to combine effective communication with the tools to complete projects and guarantee high security. For example, Outlook allows for business emails and personalised accounts, PowerPoint can help visualise projects, and Excel is an effective way to display figures and graphs. Similarly, Windows Defender is an effective cyber protection tool and ensures that information is not compromised or easy to access from unauthorised persons.
Documents are stored in a safe space, and if a problem ever arises, experts are available at any day and time to help resolve the issues so that operations can resume as normal. OneDrive allows documents to be edited and stored in the cloud to access or share the data quickly, but only by those intended for.
Fusions – To Conclude
In conclusion, Fusion provides VoIP phone services and a range of different office phones, allowing for flexibility and individual business to pick which plans they decide would benefit them. There are several features and integrations that all users can utilise.
